Saint-Louis Moselle crystal carafe with green overlay, size 9408 - H32cm

This lovely decanter is made of double-cut crystal from Saint-Louis. Emerald green, it is the Moselle model from the 1930 catalog - size 9408. The overlay technique is a Saint-Louis specialty: a first parison of transparent crystal is covered with a second colored parison, then it is cut to reveal the underlying crystal. A luminous green, this decanter is decorated with a beveled and palmette cut. The stopper is also cut. Unsigned, it is in very good condition and measures 32 cm X 7.5 cm. Please note: scratches from use and micro-chips on certain sizes. The stopper has a chip on the tip and the decanter has a chip on the neck.
