Saint-Louis red overlay lined crystal liqueur decanter – H21.5cm

This lovely decanter is made of double-cut crystal from Saint-Louis. A beautiful raspberry red, it is an antique model. The overlay technique is a Saint-Louis specialty: a first parison of transparent crystal is covered with a second colored parison, then it is cut to reveal the underlying crystal. A beautiful red color, this decanter is decorated with a point and palmette cut. The stopper is missing. Unsigned, it is in good condition and measures 21.5 cm X 7.5 cm. Please note: scratches from use and micro-chips on some cuts. The decanter has a crack at the neck.
