We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare Thomas Chippendale bookcase, now discontinued, which is an exact licensed copy of the one from Princess Diana's family home, Althorp Estate. It was part of the Living History collection, made by Theodore Alexander and marketed by Brights of Nettlebed. Althorp Estate is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful surviving English country houses. The bookcase is made of flame mahogany with a very elegant oxblood velvet lining. The handles inside the upper section are leopard heads, and there are two hidden drawers at the top, with the right one featuring the Althorp family crest. The piece is also adorned with a removable crest at the centre top. The condition is exquisite, with very little wear; this piece has been cherished since new and is a magnificent item. Dimensions: Height: 202 cm, Width: 81.5 cm, Depth: 41 cm (measurements at the widest point).
