Carved and lacquered wooden gueridon

Charming small sculpted and lacquered wooden side table in ivory colour with aged gold highlights. Delightful small side table topped with a wavy and polylobed (in brackets) surface. The edge of the top is accentuated by a contrasting trim. The central pedestal is richly worked with stylised foliage patterns and baluster shapes. All resting on small curled feet. The base is adorned with relief patterns highlighted by a darker patina (gold). Some signs of wear are observed on the edges of the top and the pedestal, which enhances its authentic character.
