Göran Malmvall, Ensemble '8' with pine chairs, Sportstugemöbler / Scandinavian Modernity

Göran Malmvall (1917-2001) was born into the furniture and design industry. As the youngest son of the founder Karl Andersson of Karl Andersson & Sons. He studied under Carl Malmsten, who established a furniture-making school in 1930. Many of Malmvall's designs are sometimes confused with Malmsten's. Malmvall worked for his father's company from a young age until 1982. Among his most well-known works are the Svensk Fur collection, Svitjod, and the KA 72 cabinet series, designed in 1972. These classic Swedish pine chairs designed by Göran Malmvall for Karl Andersson & Sons are in good condition. This set of eight chairs is part of the Svensk Fur collection designed in the mid-1900s.
