Set of four Scandinavian dining chairs in oak Denmark 1960

A sculptural set of four Scandinavian dining chairs made in Sweden during the 1960s. Crafted in solid oak, the chairs feature a sculptural construction with shaped wooden seats, slender tapered legs and expressive visible joinery. Particularly distinctive are the V-shaped back supports carrying broad, gently curved top rails. The solid wooden seats are softly shaped for comfort, while the curved backrests provide support without adding visual weight. Warm oak tones and open construction give the set a natural and light appearance. Expressive joinery, organic shaping and solid craftsmanship reflect the character of Scandinavian modern design from this period. The chairs have been carefully cleaned, structurally checked and treated with oil while preserving their original character. The set is in very good condition and ready to use.
