Lillemor Mannerheim (1927-1994) Finland, artist and designer. She was one of the leading designers for Gefle, Rörstrand, and Arabia from the 1950s to the 1980s. She studied at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm from 1945 to 1949, and continued her training focusing on sculpture techniques at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. She exhibited at the Triennale in Milan in 1954, and her sculpture "The Old Peasant" in chamotte is part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Paris. This set of six high-backed chairs showcases her boldness in the field of Scandinavian modernity, which is otherwise quite understated. The MONA model was designed by Mannerheim in the 1960s for NESTO, Nässjö Stolfabrik Sweden. The chairs are all in their original colour, with patina and signs of normal use. One of the chairs has a grey tone. Marked under the seats: Nesto.
