An exceptional and very rare antique: a three-drawer chest of drawers in solid oak dating from the 17th century (circa 1630-1680). Style: Louis XIII (France) or Jacobean (England). Date: 17th century. Material: Patinated solid oak. Special features: The drawer fronts are adorned with a remarkable geometric relief decoration (diamond points) typical of this period. Original construction: The back of the chest is constructed in the traditional style, using vertical planks of rough-sawn wood, attesting to its authenticity and age. It rests on flattened ball feet. Hardware: Original iron fittings and keyhole escutcheons. The handles are pendants (likely replaced in the 19th century, as is common on this type of antique furniture). Dimensions: Height 83 X Width 58 X Depth 92 cm. Condition: This piece is in its original condition, with a deep patina and natural wear. Structurally sound, yet retaining the charm and imperfections inherent to its 350-year history. Ideal for: Collectors, antique enthusiasts, or those seeking rustic-chic décor. Available in the Paris region or the Manche department. Contact me for delivery to another department or region.
