Set of four "Småland" armchairs, Stolfabrik AB, Sweden, circa 1960. Rare set of four "Småland" chairs/armchairs designed by Yngve Ekström for Stolfabrik AB in the 1960s. Made of solid beech, they perfectly illustrate the understated elegance of Scandinavian design, with their clean lines, delicately curved armrests, and generous proportions that combine comfort and functionality. A major figure in 20th-century Swedish design, Yngve Ekström is notably the creator of the famous Lamino, Arka, and Pinocchio armchairs, now considered icons of Scandinavian furniture. Dimensions (each chair): H. 73 × W. 54 × D. 49 cm; seat height: 43–44 cm. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with slight signs of use and a beautiful patina of the beech, consistent with age. A sought-after set, emblematic of the quality of Swedish craftsmanship from the 1960s.
