Description / context. An antique solid oak chest dating from the second half of the 18th century, assembled with wooden pegs. It features panels adorned with relief-carved floral motifs and engraved scrollwork in the background, ball feet, and wrought iron fittings. Originating from eastern France without specific context. A beloved piece preserved and integrated into my home, offered only to enthusiasts. Work carried out. Cleaning / removal of dust build-up and preservation of the original finish. Application of a fine layer of wax. Restoration of visible ironwork. Details and characteristics. Wrought iron key present. Old lock present, adorned with the carved floral motif, but non-functional.
