Magnificent chest in richly carved solid walnut from the 17th century. It opens with a moulded lid on two sides. A movable batten on the left side allows it to be held open. Original locks, no key. Superb waxed patina. It rests on a beautifully moulded base in perfect condition. Panelled on its three sides, carved with medallions of acanthus leaves and geometric arcatures, its panels are in walnut burl. It also has a drawer located at the bottom of the chest. This splendid chest with beautiful proportions offers a generous storage space. Please note that two small mouldings are missing. See photo. Very good overall condition.
