French antique bronze double Empire wall sconce with arrow and swan detail 4317.

This magnificent wall light features many details typical of the French Empire period. The round central piece has a black lacquered finish with a lovely flower-shaped button in the middle. The backplate is diamond-shaped with a pointed arrow at the top and bottom. From the backplate extend two arms that feature a swan or goose and lead to detailed round candle holders. The candle drops are the original wooden drops in beige. The light works and is wired with French double-core wiring that has been joined behind the backplate and takes 2 small E14 screw bulbs. The brass has a beautiful aged patina and marks associated with age. It has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on the finish. The candle drop is in good vintage condition with marks associated with age.
