Cavalcade of the guardian of Camargue 1930 E. Lafargue oil on panel

The Camargue in 1930. Shirt, scarf and guardian's hat. And the horse! Black as it should be, Camargue and wild of course, spirited naturally. A wonderful scene, the flaming vermilion of the shirt contrasts with the strength of the horse, the body tilted back, riding with one hand, the hat raised in a sign of almost victory! The untameable! What a rider! Utter charm. External dimensions 58cm X 48cm. View 45cm X 36cm. When you know, you know.
