This elegant secretary cabinet was designed by H.W. Klein and produced by Bramin, Denmark, circa 1960. A refined example of Danish modern craftsmanship, the piece combines clean architectural lines with exceptional functionality, making it both a practical writing desk and a sculptural storage cabinet. Executed in beautifully grained rosewood, a relatively rare choice for this model, the cabinet displays rich color variation and striking natural patterns throughout. The slanted fall-front opens to reveal a thoughtfully organized interior, featuring a central compartment with two small drawers, along with a series of vertical and horizontal shelves ideal for documents, stationery or decorative objects. When closed, the writing surface disappears seamlessly, maintaining a calm and uncluttered appearance. Below the fold-down desktop are two sliding doors with subtly sculpted handles, concealing additional storage space. The cabinet is raised on a distinctive solid rosewood base, lending the piece a light, elegant stance while emphasizing its high-quality construction and proportions. The secretary remains in very good original condition, with only minor signs of wear consistent with age and use, adding to its authentic vintage character. It retains its original Bramin manufacturer’s sticker on the back.
