This Napoleon III armchair is very comfortable, retaining its original upholstery, dating from the 1850s in a classic style, with two armrests. It is covered in a beautiful period cut velvet upholstery featuring vertical stripes. Its seat and backrest are in good condition, with compact padding and a comfortable seat; there is just a slight compression of the padding on the front of the seat (see photos). Its structure is made of solid wood with carved wood forming ribbons and a bow at the top of the seat. It is painted in light grey.
