Queen's armchair Louis XVI

Queen's armchair in Louis XVI style, structure in richly carved solid beech: pearl mouldings on the crosspieces, padded armrests with scrolls, tapered fluted legs with a square section adorned with a sculpted rosette at the base. Beautiful light patina, sharp and well-preserved carvings. Original upholstery in cream and gold damask-style fabric with floral patterns and garlands, studded with small turned wooden nail heads resembling beads. The seat and backrest show slightly worn fabric with some stains, but no tears or holes; the backing fabric under the seat is cracked in places. Solid and stable structure, no visible cracks at the legs or joints. A beautiful base for reupholstering in a contemporary fabric, or to be kept as is for the lover of antique patina.
