A beautiful late 18th-century Directoire armchair, professionally restored and reupholstered. The armchair is made of beechwood and was originally painted in a pale green and gilded with gold leaf. The original patina has been preserved and waxed, highlighting its colors: green, flat red, white, wood, and gold. The carved details are intact: scrolled armrests, fluted molding, and rosette-shaped connecting blocks. The seat and back padding have been completely renewed with high-quality webbing and foam. The armchair is upholstered in a Pierre Frey 100% linen fabric in a faded pink, with a double-piped pale green trim that echoes the painted wood. The seat is wide, firm, and comfortable. 94.5 cm high. 58 cm wide. 60 cm deep. Seat height: 42 cm. Seat width: 50 cm. Seat depth: 48 cm.
