COD 11560. Antique Spanish painting from the late 18th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a landscape with architecture and figures, well-executed. The painting unfolds vertically, with a pleasing setting where the figures are depicted at work. A woman is beating clothes on a ladder, while below, a man is fishing along the river (see photo). The painter's charming detail in the lower right corner is a pregnant woman who seems to smile as she observes the scene. A ruined tower looms in the center of the painting, while to the left, a mill is in operation (see photo). A well-sized and attractive painting, ideal for antique dealers, interior decorators, and collectors of antique landscapes. With a beautiful patina, the painting has undergone conservative restoration, relining, and recoloring in some areas. In fair condition, requiring restoration.
