Spectacular Italian floor lamp designed in 1970 by Carlo Nason for A. V. I. Mazzega. A round column in black enamelled steel rests on an elegant brown marble base and supports a chrome structure adorned with hand-blown Murano glass lampshades. The wiring is compliant with American standards. Born in 1935 in Murano, near Venice, Carlo Nason came from a family of master glassmakers. His initial training in glassblowing and his passion for geometric and minimalist forms led him to create modernist lighting, moving away from the traditional family business of decorative glassmaking.
