Pyrite sandstone teapot jean pierre prudhomme, 1960. Round teapot in clear sandstone pyrity, work of the 1960s. Signed in hollow on the reverse jp for jean-pierre prudhomme, In excellent condition, lacks its lid. 13 X 26 X 17 cm. In 40 years of existence, the pottery "au gré du vent" has been able to perpetuate and develop a typically traditional craftsmanship as well as resolutely creative. Founded by jean-pierre prud'homme and his wife in 1971 and managed today by their son benoît and his wife véronique. Located in the heart of touraine, in the small village of monnaie (indre et loire – france), the tourangeau workshop now employs two potters full-time who, as in the past, turn, enamel, decorate and cook exclusively by hand a nièvre clay whose culinary qualities have made the reputation. (machine washable, resistant, aesthetic) The already wide range of artisanal pottery, decorative or utilitarian, produced by the family workshop after more than four decades of existence, has been enriched over the last fifteen years by the original creations of the son of the founder and potter benoît prud'homme.
