An authentic Danish footstool (or ottoman) designed by Kai Kristiansen for the renowned manufacturer Magnus Olesen in the 1960s. It is an iconic example of mid-century Scandinavian craftsmanship and design. The frame is crafted from bent, profiled wood featuring a beautiful, pronounced grain (rosewood/teak—a luxurious finish typical of the era). It includes slender, tapered legs, a hallmark of the designer’s work. It comes with a comfortable, loose cushion upholstered in its original off-white/ecru fabric, which features a subtle, textured geometric pattern. The original spring/wire suspension system remains stable, providing excellent elasticity and comfort. The frame retains its original manufacturer’s label—rarely found in such good condition—bearing the inscription "Made in Denmark, Magnus Olesen, Durup, " along with the "Domus Danica" and "Danish Control" emblems. The piece is in very good vintage condition, showing natural, subtle signs of age that attest to its authenticity. The structure is stable, the wood has been well-maintained, and the upholstery is clean and ready for immediate use. An ideal complement to an armchair from the same series, or a sophisticated, designer accent piece for a mid-century style living room, bedroom, or study. Dimensions: Height: 42 cm. Length: 57 cm. Frame width: 42.5 cm. Total width: 47 cm.
