immense console from a model of the Palace of Versailles

Important console, mid-table (carved on all sides) rectangular in carved wood resting on eight openwork legs joined by a double stretcher. The frieze is decorated with large shells, foliage, and rosettes. Top of reddish-brown marble, with white-grey ribbon patterns featuring three frames, in the Louis XIV style, based on the model of the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. Minor wear and losses from use and time on the marble.
