A hand-embroidered cushion cover made from pure silk threads, featuring an abstract geometric composition directly inspired by the pictorial language of Wassily Kandinsky. It showcases the painter's signature shapes: the triangle, the circle, curves, and aligned dots that he theorised and popularised in his teachings at the Bauhaus in the 1920s. The palette is bright and plays with contrasts of mustard yellow, orange, cobalt blue, burgundy red, fir green, pale violet, and sky blue. The composition is rhythmic, almost musical, true to Kandinsky's vision of abstract painting as a visual equivalent of music. The silk captures light differently depending on the angle, giving the piece a changing brilliance that brings the composition to life. The technique remains that of Aari embroidery from Kashmir, executed with a crochet method but here adapted to reproduce the aesthetic of a great master of modern art, rather than traditional floral patterns. Each piece requires dozens of hours of manual work and constitutes a unique textile object, closer to a work of art than a standard decorative cushion. The size of 48 X 48 cm, slightly more generous than the standard, gives even more presence to the composition. The piece will find its place in an arty interior, a library, a studio, or as a centrepiece on a minimalist sofa that allows it to breathe. Features: Embroidery: 100% pure dyed silk, Aari technique (hand crochet) Background fabric: 100% cotton canvas. Concealed zip at the back. Inner cushion not included.
