A hand-embroidered cushion cover made from pure silk threads, featuring a dense and swirling abstract geometric composition. Interlocking triangles, spirals, curves, and zigzags all animate the basic shapes in an almost dancing arrangement, where each element finds its place without ever solidifying the composition. The palette is deliberately autumnal and deep, with aubergine purple, burnt orange, mustard yellow, sky blue, bluish grey, soft green, and beige. A warm and vibrant harmony that moves away from the usual primary colours to offer something more mature and subtle. Silk captures light differently depending on the angle, giving the piece a changing brilliance that brings the composition to life throughout the day. The technique used is Aari embroidery from Kashmir, executed with a crochet method, but here repurposed to reproduce a contemporary art motif rather than traditional floral compositions. Each piece requires dozens of hours of manual work and constitutes a unique textile object. The size of 48 X 48 cm, slightly more generous than the standard, gives even more presence to the composition. The piece will find its place in an arty interior, a library, a studio, or as a centrepiece on a minimalist sofa that allows it to breathe. Features.
