Mahogany Writing Table, Return from Egypt Period – Early 19th Century

This dressing table opens at the waist with a drawer fitted with a functional lock with inlaid entry and key. Inside, this drawer is equipped with a sliding shelf covered in green leather with a cold and gold stamp. The set is accompanied by three lockers, one of which has a brass container. The uprights rest on a concave base on the front ending in legs, in blackened wood, claws at the front and turned at the back. The upper part, dark with mercury glass, is composed of two pilasters supporting a small belgian granite marble having undergone a slight subsequent restoration.
