Art Nouveau style sugar bowl, attributed to the Szandrik manufactory, dating from the early 20th century and made of brass covered with a layer of silver. The predominant tone is warm, matte silver with local, authentic patina, gently revealing golden brass highlights. The cylindrical body rests on three decorative legs soldered to the body, as does the smoothly curved, organic handle. The plant decorations engraved on the lid fit into Art Nouveau motifs with their nod to nature: flexible, asymmetrical lines with a slightly stylised form. The whole is characterised by harmonious proportions, careful workmanship and a subtle, natural surface with visible signs of age. No visible damage or signs of restoration emphasise the object's collector authenticity. Condition is very good – preserved minor scratches, natural dulling, consistent with the age of the item. This sugar bowl echoes the Belle Époque: the material and ornament speak the language of the fin de siècle, when everyday life gained a poetic lightness. Leaf motifs, wavy lines and arches recall times when an object was meant not only to serve but also to delight in daily rituals. The delicate patina on the silver resonates like an echo of salon conversations from over a century ago, and the light softly refracts on the satin surface, as if capturing a fragment of that era. The sugar bowl can be displayed on a classic dining table or an eclectic sideboard, where it will pair with floral porcelain or early 20th-century glass. It will bring a subtle historical accent to arrangements based on Art Nouveau, but will also integrate well with more contemporary compositions where a single, expressive object matters. It can be combined with linen-textured tablecloths and smoked glass to create a moody, slightly theatrical backdrop for afternoon tea or coffee.
