Louis XV solid wood and green leather writing desk secretary, 1950.

Slant front desk also known as a writing secretary or slant top secretary designed in the Louis XV style made of solid cherry wood and green leather. The lower crossbar is carved with an asymmetrical shell motif. It opens at the front with two large drawers adorned with pull handles and lock entries in gilded bronze/cast brass in the rococo style. The upper part features a slanted flap that folds down to form a writing table. Once opened, the flap reveals a genuine green leather writing surface with small gold-patterned ironwork. The interior contains storage niches and small curved drawers. This piece of furniture dates from the 1950s. It is in good condition, clean, and sturdy.
