Set of two soliflore vases in glazed ceramic, from the same ceramicist, identifiable by their incised signature MU under the base. The two pieces interact through their elongated shapes and their sensitive treatment of the surface, while each maintaining its own identity. The first vase features a vertical pictorial decoration composed of dark motifs diffused in a blue-grey halo, applied freely on a bright ivory background. The decoration, deliberately blurred and organic, evokes a spontaneous gesture and an exploration of material and the diffusion of oxides during firing. The second vase, more refined, highlights the purity of the form and the depth of the white glaze, subtly nuanced by light and adorned with three blue-black motifs. The slightly curved silhouettes, narrow necks, and stable bases testify to a skilled artisanal work, likely produced in small series. The glazes show slight variations and natural irregularities, signatures of handcrafted shaping and firing. In excellent vintage condition for both pieces. Minimal wear under the bases, consistent with age and use. Height 23.5 cm and 22 cm. Diameter at the widest 9 cm and 6 cm. Diameter of opening 2 cm. A sculptural and expressive duo, ideal for a contemporary interior sensitive to artisanal modernism, with clean compositions and a soft, elegant, and timeless graphic aesthetic.
