Superb salt stoneware vase signed Roger Paul Schmitter, from the Betschdorf factory, emblematic of 20th century Alsatian craftsmanship. This unique handmade piece offers an elegant baluster shape, enhanced with two curved handles and a flared neck, highlighting a relief decoration representing a pair of stylized peacocks. The cobalt blue hues contrast with the satin blue-gray enamel, typical of salt firing. Good condition.
