Félix Bracquemond, Exceptional vase or pitcher entirely hand-painted by the famous Creil & Montereau factory. An example from the same series is preserved at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. 19th century, circa 1884. Félix Bracquemond was a French painter, ceramist, engraver, and decorator of art objects. As early as 1856, he is considered the first in France to discover the interest in Japanese art. He initiated the Japonism trend in France, which took over the decorative arts during the second half of the 19th century. This pitcher is a typical example. Magnificent designs of birds and branches in bright colors inspired by Hokusai's Kachô-ga prints and also by Hiroshige albums. Condition Report: Perfect condition, with no damage.
