G Plan is one of Britain's best-known furniture makers. The brand became a fixture of British homes in the post-war years, known for well-made, modern, practical furniture designed to work together. This is an extending teak dining table from their Fresco range dating from the late 1960s / 1970s. The top has a softly rounded edge with a darker edge detail and attractive grain throughout. It stands on four round tapered solid teak legs. The table extends with a fold-out centre leaf, and it looks neat and compact when closed. A red G Plan label is visible underneath the extension leaf.
