Preben Sorensen Danish oak wall unit by PS System, Randers, 1970s

This rare Danish mid-century oak wall unit was designed by Preben Sørensen and manufactured by PS System in Randers in the 1970s. It was made in the very same period as Poul Cadovius wall units, and it presents the same Danish mid-century quality. Overall set size is H: 202 / W: 163 / D: 45 cm. Adjustable shelves allow for the display of personal items or art, regardless of size. Its modularity allows for flexible configuration. The arrangement of the shelves and cabinets can be easily changed. The shown setup is just an example. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with components mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers and pins. It can be a great vintage addition to the living room, and by a desk-shelf, it can serve as a compact home office. The set includes: A dresser with 3 drawers: H: 40 / W: 80 / D: 45 cm,  drawer’s height 9 cm, A cabinet with sliding doors  H: 35/ W: 80 / D: 35 cm, 4 shelves: 20 cm depth, A desk-shelf 45 cm depth,  3 solid wood montage rails, each 202 cm long, Brass hangers and pins. The unit has been fully renovated. The wood has been cleaned and finished with thin coat of satin lacquer. Brass parts have been slightly polished. The producer’s label, located inside the cabinet, confirms the authenticity of the furniture’s origin. We have over 200 Danish shelves from the mid-20th century. We offer them in various sets.
