Incredible MP-81 three-seater sofa in original yellow leather by Percival Lafer, Brazil, 1970s. A highly comfortable and striking design. The seat structure is composed of two fiberglass shells welded together to create a single, rigid element. The solid jacaranda wood feet are attached to the structure by previously made wooden screw nuts, which can be tightened or disassembled. The back feet come with two pins which hold the headrest, making it removable if desired. The sofa comes in its original yellow leather with a rich patina, enhancing its character. This design is a highly sought-after model that combines comfort and breathtaking design. Móveis Lafer, where Percival designed a wide range of products, played a substantial role in Brazilian furniture in the second half of the 20th century. Innovations in technique and form resulted in standardised elements reused in different product lines, with solutions such as demountable and easy-to-transport products. Note: We have an entire set in stock with three matching lounge chairs, see pictures.
