Set of 4 Lübke chairs in black leather, premium version – Germany, 1960

Elegant set of 4 chairs produced by Lübke in West Germany in the 1960s. This iconic model of German design is distinguished by its remarkable triangular backrest with graphic lines and its airy tubular base. The chairs retain their original black leather as well as their screen-printed fabric "Lübke – Made in W-Germany" under the seats, attesting to their authenticity. This set features a rare variant, characterised by smooth seats without visible seams. This more streamlined finish, combined with the leather upholstery, is less commonly found than the standard versions and gives the set a particularly elegant and contemporary presence. The overall condition is excellent. The leather shows a beautiful even patina and the structures are perfectly stable. Only a few light signs of use and small localized chips on the black paint of the bases are noted, visible in the photographs. A set of character, both sculptural, comfortable, and timeless.
