Model C815-2 two-seater by Theo Ruth for Artifort, the Netherlands, 1970s

This model sofa was designed by Theo Ruth for Artifort in 1958. It originally had a wooden frame. In the 1970s until the 1990s, this model was reissued with a metal frame and modern upholstery. This particular sofa has a black frame, a black back, and lilac/mauve seating in wool fabric by Ploeg. It is small, elegant, but also a bit rock 'n roll – super cool! The woolen fabric is original and in very good condition, especially the black fabric. The lilac wool has some slight discoloration due to age and sunlight.
