Large antique revolving bookcase

A beautiful and very solid large walnut revolving bookcase mill in completely original and good condition. Book mill with a cast iron base. Standing on porcelain wheels. Beautiful patina. Beautiful and functional. Origin: England, ca. 1880-1900. Dimensions: 59cm X 59cm X 118cm. Maker: Maple & Co., London. The maker, Maple & Co., was the world's leading manufacturer of quality furniture towards the end of the Victorian period (c. 1880). The firm furnished Tsar Nicholas's Winter Palace, the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, all the major English embassies worldwide, countless country houses, and grand hotels. Everyone of significance at the end of the 19th century had their furniture made by Maple & Co. The quality and craftsmanship of these pieces are exceptionally beautiful.
