Model 66 Side Chair by Alvar Aalto for Artek, 1940s

A rare model 66 side chair or desk chair designed by Alvar Aalto in the late 1930s. This chair has an early brown stamp to the underside. It also has the early finger-joints to the sides of the seat construction and the five laminate supports on the bend of the leg. This is an early production example. The surface of the chair has been lightly refinished - It has a small discrete repair to the back as seen. The chair can be dismantled for easier and safer shipping.
