Rectangular tray from the 1930s, produced by HSG Ząbkowice in Poland, made of pressed glass in a light, cool shade of blue. The glass has moderate transparency, giving the whole form a lightness and subtlety that fits the Art Deco aesthetic. The surface features an elaborate openwork pattern with floral and geometric motifs embossed in the glass: stylised flowers and fan-shaped lines radiate from the central part, whose structure resembles a fine mesh. Gently rounded edges and wide, integrated handles—decorated with relief—emphasise the harmony of the form. The shiny, smooth surface reflects light, bringing out the depth of the blue. The condition is very good, with no defects, only minor signs of use typical for the era. This tray echoes the voice of the 1930s, when Polish pressed glass boldly embraced modern decorativeness and practicality. The blue glass seems to capture the chill of morning light, and the openwork patterns—like lace cut-outs—tell of the abundance of the interwar period and a longing for ordered elegance. Relief flowers and geometric lines transport the user to a time when details created a visual dialogue between applied art and the daily ritual of hospitality. The tray will fit perfectly in an eclectic collector's interior or an arrangement inspired by the Art Deco style. It can be combined with period ceramics, optical glass or silver accessories, creating a striking focal point on a sideboard, coffee table or dressing table. To emphasise the lightness of the glass, it is worth placing a light fabric or marble top underneath; it also works well as a holder for jewellery, scarves or name cards with perfume bottles—where ritual meets detail and the light of a bygone era.
