Superb rectangular ironstone dish, signed with the interlaced GIEN monogram (used between 1875 and 1938). Its blue monochrome decoration on an ivory background consists of a central floral medallion and an elegant frieze, in the refined spirit of late 19th-century French earthenware. This model is distinguished by its rare raised braided border, rarely found on serving dishes, and by its molded marking under the base: a triangle with V6, workshop or mold mark, typical of the production of this period. With its beautiful patina, ivory shades and age crackle, this dish embodies all the authentic charm of old ironstone. Stamped Gien + molded marking: triangle + V6 Length 36 cm, width 28 cm, height 3 cm. Condition: patina and age crackle, small traces of use, no cracks or chips. Perfect as a kitchen display piece, a table centerpiece, or a chic flea market-style wall decoration. A rare and decorative piece, sought after by lovers of French earthenware and antique tableware.
