Oak Maie

Maie in good old oak! It is true that, faced with a piece of furniture that, like this one, has survived the ages, we tend to say that it is made of good old oak, as they say it was the good old days! The maie is a very old, rustic piece of furniture, which, in its rectangular shape, like those I present, was used to preserve flour. There is another version, in the shape of a half barrel, which was used to knead bread, called knead. It appeared in the fifteenth century, anyway! In some areas of france, it is still actually used, as a storage unit.
