Beautiful pair of Swedish pine bookshelves attributed to Carl Malmsten. Each unit combines a glass-topped section with open shelves and a two-door cabinet below, providing ample storage space for books and items as well as a closed area underneath. The design is simple and functional, featuring rounded posts, framed panel doors, and warm, knotted pine that brings a Scandinavian atmosphere to the room. One bookshelf is stamped, the other is not, but they are built to the same design and proportions, forming a well-matched pair. The upper parts of the shelves can be removed from the base cabinets, making transport and installation in smaller spaces easier. In good vintage condition with age-related wear. Surface marks, small dents, and colour variations in the pine are consistent with age and use. Structurally sound and stable. The upper parts of the shelves are removable for transport.
