Silver-lined metal milk pot of goldsmith charles balaine who was active in paris between 1827 and 1844. Charles balaine perfected the silver-lined process of rolling a sheet of copper between two silver sheets. The technique of silver metal by electrolysis did not take place until 1844 (source anticstore). Goldsmith's punch as visible in one of the photos. Anse probably ivory. Circa 1835.
