Silver-plated pouring jug, resting on three sculpted feet in the shape of stylised paws. The spout is finely crafted in the form of a bird's head, giving a strong decorative identity to the whole piece. The handle, made of blackened wood, is curved and ergonomic, providing an elegant contrast to the metallic body. The lid is topped with a decorative finial, and the entire piece is highlighted by chiselled friezes and relief details characteristic of 19th-century silverwork. It has a beautiful patina of use, with signs of age that do not detract from its presentation or stability. A decorative object of great presence, ideal for a display case, a classic or eclectic interior, or to complement a collection of antique table art. Condition: antique, generally good condition with visible wear and patina. Material: silver-plated metal, wooden handle. Period: 19th century. Height: 30 cm.
