If you are a lover of art nouveau, then you certainly know one of its major figures: the belgian architect and decorator gustave serrurier-bovy. This pair of copper and brass vase was made around 1905 when locksmith is at the top of his art, and is one of his most beautiful pieces. One can admire the finesse of the metal work, delicately chiseled in places, and the contrast between the roundness of the vase and the more modernist aspect of its handles which announce the arrival of the bauhaus. The vases are in good general condition given their age. Each has its own patina with traces of gray green. Among the defects, we can note on the first vase: two cracks at the neck and another at the base, as well as a little play in the screw of a handle. On the second vase, we notice a crack under the neck, two splinters at the base and a bump behind a handle. A discreet b is engraved under one of the vases. Diameter of the opening: 3 cm.
