Art ceramic vase signed by Jean de Veyle. Made in France, it dates from 1900 and features an iridescent glazed finish. Jean de Veyle was active in the De Veyle workshops in La Tour-de-Salvagny, near Lyon, during the first half of the 20th century. His date of birth remains unknown, but his death is documented in 1970. This elegant piece has a globular body, a tall cylindrical neck, and two vertical handles. Its nuanced glaze, with reflections of blue, grey, silver, and golden brown, offers a remarkable crystalline and iridescent appearance, typical of the decorative explorations of French ceramics during the Art Nouveau period. The underside bears an incised signature "J. De Veyle" as well as model number 115. Condition. Very good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. The glaze shows beautiful firing variations and a natural patina. No obvious restoration is visible in the provided photographs.
