Coffin-style chest of drawers in walnut

Elegant and large tomb commode with 4 drawers arranged in 3 rows. The furniture structure is curved, bulging at the sides and rounded at the front. The top is made of walnut with an atypical shape following the structure of the piece, with rounded edges. 2 small drawers side by side are located beneath the top. 2 large storage drawers with double handles. The handles are in chiselled bronze, signed L.P, in the Regency style, featuring scroll curves, shells, and leaves. The legs are in the Louis XV style, with 4 low, curved feet. The lower frieze is scalloped between the legs and decorated. The tomb commode is in very good condition, practical, sound, and sturdy.
