Danish vintage pendant lamp Nova by Jo Hammerborg, Fog og Morup, 1963

Brass lamp consisting of four shades. The outer shades are covered with a yellow tint to provide a warm reflection of light. The small shade that hides the bulb holder has a dark gray coating to soften the downlight. When lit, the lamp provides a soft feel and does not dazzle downwards, making it ideal for low hanging, while the glossy surface captures and reflects the contours of the surrounding space. One of the several themes running through jo hammerborg's work at fog & mørup in the 1960s was that the lamps were often made of three different metals - copper, brass, and aluminum. Dimensions: Diameter: 41cm. Height: 18cm. The lamp is in very good condition, with minor scratches and bruises, the brass is patinated. The lamp has been thoroughly cleaned, the cable has been replaced with a new braided one. The lamp comes with a new metal canopy. Lamps are shipped from denmark.
