Vintage lounge chair “Hunter” with ottoman by Torbjørn Afdal, 1960s, Norway

Produced by bruksbo in norway during the 1960s, and known as the hunter chair, designed by torbjørn afdal (1917-1999). The sturdy wooden frame and the seat made of heavy duty canvas with a padded and buttoned leather cushion overlay and stout leather straps forming the sling or thong shaped armrests. The chair is in completely original condition. It has acquired a beautiful patina over the years, which shows its age beautifully. Only buttons were painted at the later period. This vintage item remains fully functional, even though it shows signs of age through minor scuffs, dings, faded finishes, minimal upholstery defects, some wear consistent with its age and use.
