Long console in lacquered walnut in remarkable condition. Wood: Lacquered walnut. Origin: China (Shanxi) Period: 19th century * Dimensions: 2m60 L x 30cm D x 86cm H A console that is both understated and elegant, appearing slender despite its imposing size. Beautiful simplicity with minimalist lines that undeniably recall the Ming style. One immediately notices the finesse of the features in a work that aims to be simple yet refined. Only small motifs in the openwork parts of the legs delicately enhance the whole. Some remnants of lacquer, valiant witnesses of its age, subtly reveal here and there the deep and delicate coat of a shimmering walnut. Superb patina and in very good condition.
