Superb antique bevelled mirror with "ears" – Louis-Philippe style – F

Magnificent antique mirror in Louis-Philippe / Napoléon III style, dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880). This elegant model is distinguished by its "ears" (descending upper corners) and its richly decorated frame with leafy scrolls and beaded motifs in gilded stucco. The bevel (the sloping edge of the glass) is very sharp and regular, adding a lot of character. • Dimensions: Height 80 cm|Width 67 cm. • Glass: High-quality mirror with a wide original bevel, providing a lot of depth and brilliance to the piece. • Frame: Solid wood structure with stucco decoration. Beautiful old gilded patina. • Condition: Authentic item in its original state. Some signs of age that add to its charm. Note: presence of woodworm holes on the back, a testament to its antiquity, but the wood has of course been treated to ensure it is sound. Ideal for placing on a fireplace, a chest of drawers, or to add character to an entrance. Its generous size and elegant bevel fit well in both classic and contemporary decor.
